The new IGA supermarket in Dongara is a landmark building in the regional town with many customers driving long distances to stock up on supplies. As the client had out-grown their previous store, a much a larger facility was required, which will also assist with any future expansion. The southern facade is overshadowed by several very large and State Heritage Register protected Moreton Bay Fig Trees. These trees were carefully considered during the design and construction phases. The base building reflects the required internal areas with high ceilings and incorporates the shop’s branding throughout.
